Today, our latest research report – Living Ratings: the digital intelligence of the world's asset managers 2017 – was unveiled to an audience of nearly 100 marketing experts at an FCS breakfast event at the New York Yacht Club in Manhattan.
Presented by Living's CEO, Kate Shaw, our research took a close look at the digital engagement levels and the evidence provided by the top 100 global asset managers – a fiercely competitive sector.
Kate was also joined by a panel of industry experts that included Diane Frankenfield from Legg Mason, Kirti Naik from Russell Investments, London Thomson-Thurm from PIMCO and Zarna Sanhvi from Schroders.
The panel discussed a wide range of topics, from digital strategy and online tools, through to how to work with compliance teams to deliver effective social media content and what an asset manager's website may look like in the future. Asset management firms' branding was also on the agenda and it was agreed by the panelists that is was greatly underestimated as a differentiator in the sector. Something that really needed to change.
No matter what the future holds for asset managers, in order to remain relevant and have clear competitor advantage, firms must use digital efficiently and effectively.
