Supporting ‘Our Future’ young people

Living London has welcomed two work experience students into the studio this week, who are part of the EY Foundation ‘Our Future” programme, which helps 16-19-year-olds to transition into work. The Foundation works to give young people the skills, experiences and support to get the jobs they really want.

Greg Hobden, Living London Managing Director said: “We have been supporting the community we work in for many years now and it’s an important part of our purpose, to nurture the next generation of talent. We are proud to have been working with EY since Living Group was founded over 15 years ago, so to be supporting the Foundation and EY’s ambition to create a ‘better working world’, could not be a better extension of our relationship. Our aim here is to help inspire the students about the world of work, so they can go on to fulfil their potential”.

The work experience placement is split into two, single weeks – February and April. Their first week has seen the students introduced to every aspect of agency life including inductions with our creative, digital, client services and marketing teams. They have also been set daily challenges by Carly Collacott, the student’s mentor at Living, including: mood board creation, logo design, creating social media posts, analysing data, research and writing tasks.

Commenting on their work experience so far the students agreed: “It seems there is always a lot to do and there is a lot that goes in to branding a company. We now have a much better idea about the world of work in an agency and how everyone needs to work together as a team”.
