Do law firms have human intelligence?

29 March 2023

Today see the launch of the highly anticipated Living Ratings of law firms 2023. This year we’ve scrutinised over 10,000 data points across the global top 100 firms. The result is a valuable analysis that is sharper and deeper than ever before.

Over 150 industry and marketing professionals joined us for our live virtual kick-off event, which featured Duncan Shaw, Living’s Chief Creative Officer, who presented the data-driven research findings of Living's 34th research report.

Duncan revealed the updated criteria used for this year’s analysis, then announced our rankings of the Top 20 law firms, highlighting each firm's strengths across its digital footprint. Sharing key statistics and trends for 2023, Duncan also provided best practice examples of law firms that are producing market-leading content and utilising enhanced functionality.

Opportunities to lead
In concluding his presentation, Duncan offered a set of actionable recommendation for how law firms should seize opportunities –  right now – to improve their brand and digital intelligence.

The program then turned to a panel discussion featuring three law firm marketing and digital experts. This included Jennifer Larivee, formerly of Akin, Michelle Woodyear from Covington and Aly Duncan from DLA Piper who joined Duncan in discussing this year’s Ratings stats. Moderated by Kevin Windorf, Living’s Client Strategy Director, the panel discussion focused on the priorities for each firm in the coming year.
